Not much early data is known about S/N 6109, but for sure, this concoction
commissioned by Luigi Chinetti was sure a world apart from the standard 330 GT. The car
festooned an unusual yellow with flat-black, striped affair. It looked more like a paint
job for a Superbird than a Ferrari.
|
The original destination was Ponzi, Italy with Assembly sequence no. 224. The next entry is 1971 when its then
owner Jerry Farrow, Carlsbad, CA was listed in the FOCUSA roster. Ed Niles made a comment that it was more of a pearl yellow when he bought it. It was rebodied at the
request of L. Chinetti. by Michelotti. "A terrible car when I owned it. 1 year in red." commented Niles. The car was painted Burgundy. Plate was 803 JEU.
The car has passed through several hands, bank and auctions, but the last known owner is Tom Hollfelder, Covina, CA.
